Salt Mine (Cleveland)


From here mine shafts sink more than 1,700 feet and tunnels branch out for miles under the bed of Lake Erie; all to mine a mammoth 60-foot seam of salt. Unfortunately the operation isn't open to the general public and tours are rare.
