  • Of all the communities in the Tampa Bay area to live, this is the best by a long shot. The trick is to get into Pasco County where property taxes fall up to 75% over Hillsborough County's rates (Tampa). Remember that the property tax one pays in Hillsborough County pays for the stadium, the airport, the public hospital, and a whole host of other welfare induced programs. Land O' Lakes has beauty, trees, a much better school system than the other surrounding areas, less smog (none), less noise, and most important..........less crime than areas like Brandon, Town and Country, and Temple Terrace have. While malls and shopping centers are closing down in the county south of us (Hillsborough) quite a few are relocating to Pasco County. One visit to the area will convince you. Thanks
