The Pasig City General Hospital (PCGH) is a Tertiary Level Four (4) hospital operating under the local government of Pasig City. PCGH started last January 29, 1995 as an Out-Patient and Emergency Department. Founded by former Mayor Vicente Eusebio to provide for the medical and health needs of his constituents established it in 1995. It has become the Most Outstanding Healthy Place under the hospital category in the entire Metro Manila for two (2) consecutive years.
Initially the hospital was licensed to operate as a Primary health Institution with 50 bed capacity. On July 1999, after years of continuous service and completion of requirements, the hospital was authorized as a Secondary level General hospital with 75 bed capacity.

The hospital aims to provide the highest attainable quality of patients care, regardless of social status, political belief and capacity to pay. It was specially built to provide general medical, surgical, dental and other health services for the residents of Pasig, however, emergency cases from nearby Municipalities are also being catered.
The City Government subsidizes almost all of the hospitals expenditures, from the hospital building to the hospital machines and equipment. Ninety percent (90%) of the in-patients of PCGH are charity while only ten percent (10%) are medicare and paying patients. The same statistics is true in the case for out-patients (emergency or non-emergency) and surgical patients.
