Riverside Park (Logansport, Indiana)RiversidePark was purchased together with the water power plant in the establishment of the water works in 1875 by the Logansport City Council for $40,000 from Cecil & Wilson. "This park was little more than a frog pond until about 1895, when the city began to fill it up and improve it. A driveway extends around it, a flowing well furnishes water and a fountain and other improvements [have been] erected. The trees have grown and it is fast becoming a beautiful park, and having a river frontage and being near the center of the city, is a very popular resort for the tired and pent-up population of Logansport downtown districts." (Powell, 1913)
