Waitrose Clapham Junction (London)Waitrose's new supermarket branch in the Battersea area, which opened on 4 December 2008. It includes counters for fish, meat and cheese, as well as a bakery right at the back, and is set to compete with branches of Marks & Spencer, and Fresh & Wild, on the same street.
It was formerly a long-standing branch of Woolworths, one of four that were sold to Waitrose some 8 months before the ultimate collapse of the Woolworths empire - the other three were Chiswisk, Islington and Edgware Road. The building still has the distinctive architecture of most Woolworths shops. Category: supermarket Not approved Address: St John's Road
