Safeco Field (Seattle, Washington)

Safeco Field is the home of the Seattle Mariners, a Major League baseball team. Designed by NBBJ and Heinlein Schrock Stearns, it cost $517,600,000 to construct from March 1997 to July 1999. Safeco Insurance owns the naming rights. The stadium has an all-seater capacity of 47,860 with 67 luxury boxes in four tiers (Main Concourse, Club Level, Suite Level, and Upper Concourse). The field a blend of Kentucky Bluegrass and Perennial Ryegrass. It has a retractable roof acting as an "umbrella" for the stands and field.

Events hosted at Safeco Field include the 2001 Seattle Bowl and WWE Wrestlemania XIX in 2003.
