DHARMADAM ISLAND (THURUTHU), KANNUR DISTRICT, KERALA STATE.
This island can be reached by walk from the Muzhappilangad beach during low tide. Alternately, it can be reached from the Dharmadam main town which is 100m away from the island. Prior permission is required from the land owners. The island is said to be having a buddhist residence once upon a time.
Plenty of Buddha statues were discovered from this island. Even Dharmadam is supposed to be a Buddhist center. Now this place is Private property.
