This area is quite nice for a picnic or BBQ session. The ocean breeze is cool and the view of the nearby mountain range is excellent. It's accessible from the main road via some roadside dirt ramps (at the roundabout, make a right turn going to Oman and immediately slow down and turn from the roadside shoulder toward the wooded area) and is just a stone's throw away from a nearby petrol station just in case you need to do a supply run or take a bathroom break. Flies are aplentiful whenever the wind dies down though, so don't forget to bring along some citronella candles or whatever else one usually uses to drive those pesky critters away. MOST IMPORTANTLY, don't forget to douse all cooking fires with water or sand before decamping, and no garbage must be left behind as well.
