DeFremery Park is a public park in the West Oakland section of Oakland. The park has recreational and social service facilities. In the late 1960's the park was the site of many Black Panther rallies and social programs. The Black Panthers had been founded and were based in West Oakland. A 100 year old Victorian Mansion is located in one corner of the park and serves as a hub for recreational and educational activities for both teens and adults.
