Pa Togan Nengminza, a fierce A.chik warrior gave stiff and strong resistance to the British colonisers who came to Garo Hills. Their tactics was use of thick plantain to stop the bullets shot by the invaders and a local spear known as the 'Selu' which was their only weapon. However the strong bullets pierced through the plantain 'Danil' and they became martyrs of the land.
