by Balthasar Neumann. Erected from 1741 to 1745 by the illustrious Franconian Baroque architect and master builder Balthasar Neumann. Its ground plan is a Latin cross, outstanding enough to be depicted on the 50 Deutsche Mark note. While the interior appears modest the architectural details of the building are all the more impressive.
