Forbes Island
"I had a comped meal here with a friend several months ago, but I definately would not pay the fairly high prices for what I thought was not great quality. The place is definately very odd which makes me think it has to be a front or something. This "island" just off of Pier 39 is actually a motorized island that has dropped achor at the pier and you have to take a little boat to to get to it, but they just as easily could have had a little bridge to get to it. You eat under water, which is interesting as you can see fish swim by through the murky port holes. In addition, I think the help was stoned, but the desserts were EXCELLENT. It would be the perfect place for dinner along with some illicit transaction such as bribing a senator since no one could sneak up on you (since you can only get there via boat, driven by Forbes himself.)
