The What Stage is the largest performance area at Bonnaroo and is usually reserved for headlining acts or acts that draw the largest crowds. The field opposite the stage can fit every festival-goer in attendance at once. Traditionally, the What Stage is inactive on Thursday and during the night as a courtesy to the town of Manchester.
