Designed by the team of architects Kleinfeldt Mychajlowycz and Montgomery Sisam, the 17 storey courthouse, with 63 courtrooms will amalgamate six existing Ontario Court of Justice facilities into one. The interiors will be designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, in partnership with NORR Architects & Engineers.

Construction commenced in October 2018 on the $956 million building and completion is scheduled for Spring of 2022
