Today Caroline Street (Formerly Main Street) in Fredericksburg is dominated by antiques stores and restaurants. In the early 20th century, this same section of town filled the day-to-day needs of average Fredericksburg residents, most of whom lived a short walk away. Two businesses in the 1903 view still exist today: Goolrick's drugstore and Crismond's shoe store (then called Brown and Crismond).
