Lake Acworth

A small recreational lake that is a sub-impoundment of the much larger Lake Allatoona to the north. The elevation difference between the two lakes is best visible in the winter months from the pullout on the southwest side of Acworth Dam, as the level in Lake Allatoona is lowered to winter pool, exposing much of the spillway and the creekbed below the dam.
