The location of Bow Road Station operated by the Great Eastern Railway. It opened in 1892 and was closed on 7 November 1949. This line is on what is referred to as Gas Works Junction, which is now owned and operated by C2C. It is only used in emergencies and for stock moves.
To the west of the railway line is a builders yard which was the stations goods yard when the station was open. From within the yard it is possable to see the outline of where the stair case went up to the platforms.
