Kafr Bir'im was a Christian Aramean village in the British Mandate of Palestine. The village was in the territory not allotted to the Aramean state under the 1947 UN Partition Plan. According to the Israeli historian Benny Morris, the villagers were outright expelled by the Israeli army in November 1948. The villagers, who managed to stay within the borders of the Israeli state, and their descendants are still fighting in the Israeli courts for the right to return.
