Confusing Double Intersection

Two "T" intersections located very close to each other, each with their own separate set of traffic lights. Can catch drivers off guard as one light can be green and the next light can be red - before you realize it you just got a ticket for running a red light. Or a driver can make a right turn from either side street and not even see the next red signal. Should be re-signalized as ONE big intersection, perhaps more revenue is generated the way it is.

Maitland Avenue - east/west(northwest)
Erindale Drive - to the south
Glenmount Avenue - to the north
