I Mr Milind Patankar the existing Vice President(Today 27th Dec 2007) of The Union Gym khana Ltd. As per I heard from my seniour members it is founded in 1924 as Union Gymkhana Cricket club. Then in Oct 1936 it is registered Under companies act as The Union Gymkhana Ltd.

Name of the Club is The Union Gymkhana ltd (Not Ghymkhana).
The Union Gymkhana is Very active from last many years in cricket and other sports.We sincerely feels that only because of The Union Gymkhana cricket in belgaum is alive.
Secretary Milind Patankar is vear active.From last few years we have seen lot of discipline in the cricket of belgaum and this is because of the efforts taken by the Secretary Milind Patankar
