Previously incorrectly marked as "Public Health Centre", this is Ayodhya Asvamedha Mahamandapam, also known as "Ayodhya Mandapam". Famous for free Carnatic music concerts during religious occasions and for hosting congregations for Brahmin matrimonial alliances.

Some people were thrashed recently by members of a Dravidian outfit.

The location of Public Health Centre is wrong. The HEalth Centre is around half-a-kilometre from the marked location. Someone, please delete this misidentification.

All Brahmins joined together and started this Mandapam. Now the present President of the Mandapam made all the arrangements to handover the Mandapam to Government of Tamilnadu alongwith Mithilapuri Kalyana Mandapam,Gnanavapi and Sri Sitaram Vidhyalaya School.The Senior Principal of the School is also joined with the President of the Mandapam to handover the school to the Government.

In this Ayodhya mandapam Maha Periyavaa visited once and His Padukas are kept in a room where Maha Periyava sat and blessed people of west mambalam. Many great musicians before becoming popular performed here like Sudha Raghunathan. sri Vittaldas Jayakrishna Dikshithar performs vibrating bhajans every year on 31st night past New Year midnight. Sea of bakthas can be seen during New Year. if SriSri Premi Anna performs the hall will be packed.

Sri Tukaram Ganapathy Maharaj performs Abhang Hari Kirtan. Baba Maharaj Satarkar performed Abhang Hari Kirtan here. Near Mithilapuri Abhang classes are conducted every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 3 PM at 10 Murthy St. Lots of children attend and learn abhangs
