The Little Colorado River Gorge is a stunning feature of the landscape immediately east of the Grand Canyon. Almost entirely located on the Navajo Reservation, most visitors to the area only glimpse it as they travel by on Highway 64. For the intrepid hiker who manages to find their way to its edge, the experience of gazing across its narrow passage and then into the abyss of its depths can be startling, and quite literally breathtaking.
