  • chamtha ghat is an age-old terminus of tirhut for going to patna.it was also what Simariaghat is today, for a holy bath in the Ganga. the road to chamtha was from darbhanga via Panchov,pusa, sarairanjan. the railway was introduced in north bihar first between Darbhanga and chamthaghat in april 1875.vidyapati also was going to chamthaghat along the old route.
