Highway 16 East/CN Rail crossing at PG

These 2 bridges are unique in Prince George. The upper bridge is the historic Canada National Railway (*CN Rail) Fraser River crossing at Prince George. The rail bridge is the only draw bridge to operate in the west and it is the only bridge in North America to host both rail and vehicular traffic at the same time. Highway 16 was altered south west to the Simon Fraser Bridge in the mid 1980's
