Fais Island (FSM).


Fais is unique geology for this region of the Pacific. Unlike the other islands it is neither basalt or a coral atoll. It was a productive phosphate mine during the Japanese occupancy era.

It's part of the Yap State, one of the four Federated States of Micronesia.

Hey. Alphonso, did you get your house built? I still have some photos from when you climbed the coconut tree and you got us some really nice young coconnuts. Where is John lingmar? What about Bernard Sanglemary? I tried to send some australian tree seeds but it was forbidden to send those things. Now it seems that even Fias has the internet, I hppe that we can be in contact some more!! By the way, I loved to eat shark!!
