dormitory, historical layer / disappeared object

Built as a men's residence hall in 1968, the building was named in honor of former Pennsylvania Governor Raymond P. Shafer. Now a co-ed dormitory, the first floor is reserved for male students with disabilities. While the Office for Students with Disabilities, previously located on the lower level, moved to the Crawford Center, some of the specialized services and support components for students with disabilities remains in this facility.
The building is slated to go offline for demolition in fall 2007.
