Village sento

Public bath using naturally heated spring water (so it's an onsen in fact). Small, clean, tidy. Paid, but entrance fee is small (200 yen in 2008). In the vestibule, massaging chairs are in operation. Adjacent to the facility there's the village rest-house. Also, this is the only onsen on the island where swimming suits are not required but are, in fact, outlawed. Bathing for men and women is separate. Small but the water's good.

Can be reached from the Matsugashita and Atsishuki onsens by a path uphill through the wood, or from the village itself.
