The Research Building at the former Pabst Brewery complex housed laboratories that supported Quality Control and Research and Development departments. It was built in 1929.

In early 2008, this building and its neighbor to the south (the former Paint Shop) were sold to BC Pabst Holdings. That company plans to combine the two buildings and convert them into office space.

  • The date of construction mentioned in the article (1913) seems improbable based on the style of architecture. They may have confused this building with the Paint Shop, which was also purchased by the same developer and which may have once been an R&D building and pilot plant.
