The main symbol of Kharkiv, it has been listed in UNESCO's Encyclopedia.

The fountain with a pergola 'Mirror stream' (Ukrainian - Dzerkalnyi strumin, Russian - Zerkalnaia struia) was built in 1947.

Sometimes it is called 'Glass stream' (Ukrainian - Sklianyi strumin, Russian - Stekliannaia struia)

In 2007, due to the 60th anniversary, Dzerkalnyi Strumin was reconstructed.
Now renovated fountain has 137 nozzles, 2 installation of artificial fog and 135 spotlights.
Fountain cup with marble walls contains 350 tons of water.
