Interesting tour of Split Mountain, which supposedly split apart when Jesus was crucified.
The Grotto of the Turks is a cave with a lovely beach and a very imnpressive set of fortifications. Local legend says that a Turk once doubted the legend about how and when the mountain cracked open, and the rock flowed around his hand. The locals still show an imprint of a large hand in the stone there. |
