Gujari Mahal is the palace built by the king for his 9th consort (belonging to the lower caste) just outside and below the fort. According to a guide, river water was diverted such that it flows through her mansion so that she can bathe in natural flowing water.

Now a well preserved Museum of Archaeological deptt. It houses objects mostly of Vidisha. Tickets are 10 rs. per head. Camera costs 50 rs extra.

  • Palace in the name of a queen, situated at a lower level on the fort. Accessible easily through the Gwalior gate. There is a museum in this palace.
