Church in Detroit, MI. This building was constructed on the site of the former Edgewater Amusement Park which operated from 1927 to 1981.
Some rides known to have existed at Edgewater Park in the early 1970s are the Rotor, Round Up, Tilt-a-Whirl, Octopus and a Salt and Pepper Shaker.
Pay One Price (P O P) was $1.05, all rides, all day, oh yeah.
Rumors exist of Edgewater Park having a roller coaster built around 1929 that was taken down because it was built on property that was not owned by the park.
Anyway, there's a nice church here now.
The link below the church website link shows personal commentaries and pictures of the former amusement park.
