The original Fantasmic! show opened at the park on May 13, 1992. A new version with different scenes and special effects opened after a long refurbishment on July 17, 2017.

Currently closed until further notice due to a pyrotechnics failure during the show's climax in March 2023.

  • The name, "Fantasmic!" could also be a cross between Fantastic and Mic (for Mickey), or it could relate to the word Fantasma, which is seeing something in perception only. I don't know the answer (and don't care enough to research it), but it's certainly not "obvious."
