  • named after McDonalds
  • Now home of Creative Performing Media Arts (CPMA) Middle School
  • Ray Kroc was a great man and deserves to have a school named after him. Too bad they had to change an existing school's name instead of waiting for a new one to need a name, though. I was a student there 35 yrs. ago, and I always thought it was cool to have a school named after the greatest modern genius in science...
  • @Ezekiel....Ditto! I agree, on both counts! I liked the Albert Einstein name as well...I was there 1972-1975, when it was 7-9th grades and began my music career there with Mr. Higgins. (who, I still see now and then around town) Im glad its being used for Arts Education.
  • I also attended Einstein in the 70's. Had Mr. Cashman as my wood shop teacher. He was a cool guy. I was pretty mad when they changed the name. We buried a time capsule, and it was supposed to be dug up in 2000. Wonder if they ever did?
  • does anybody remember the big walk-out protest over coach Simon. mr runk, sure was mad at me. the science teacher (fredricks?) taught my mom down in pacific beach in the 50's, my favorite was my german teacher, herr Jason.
  • I agree, I went to school there too. I think I was there in 1966-68. Graduated 1971 from James Madison
  • My sister was there when it was buried. I thought about it when it became kroc middle school. I went to the office and asked about it and they had no clue. They looked at me like i was crazy. I remember my sister saying they buried gym shorts etc.
  • Regarding time capsule tom.
