This is a small village consists of around 1300 people and has around 1000 voters. Most of the people depend on the agriculture and the monsoon, which most of the time disappoints either with excess rain or no rain. If the monsoon is right at the right time people cultivate crops like peanut, corn, sunflower in the main season and vegetable market oriented crops like brinjal, Tomato, ladies finger etc in the off season. Kaaliamman temple is one of the connecting threads that run in every villager heart where they assemble in every auspicious day and pray. This village has a wonderful primary school (1st grade to 5th grade). No wonder almost every newborn kid gets a "take it for granted" admission to this school. Only qualification to get admission in 1st grade is to reach out the ear over ones head with other hand. Village has mostly independent voters but DMK, ADMK and Cogress follower are there too. Yes it gets into politics in the election time and splits and rejoins after all the dust settle.
