The Military Institute is a modern interdepartmental, multidisciplinary, integrated military training unit of higher educational institution which provides training of experts with complete higher education for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations (the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Emergencies and Affairs of Population Protection from the Consequences of Chernobyl Catastrophe of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, the Department of the State Guard of Ukraine, etc.).

The Military Institute is the only military training unit of higher educational institution in Ukraine, which provides training of experts for all military formations with specialization in International Information, Translation and Interpretation, Finance, Psychology, Political Science, Geoinformation Systems and Technologies, Advertising and Public Relations, Journalism and Law. Moreover, Graduate Military Courses are functioning at the Institute providing education in 10 scientific specialties.
