Chahar Bagh
Chahar Bagh was our old residence Area in Jalandar city before parition 1947.My father Mian Iqbal Muhammad S/O Haji Ali Muhammad was student of Doaba School. My father told me that in our house a private school was also established by some tanents.My father s' elder brother Mian Khurshid muhammad was a Capt. Doctor in army and posted at Jalandhar cantt. Our Dada Haji Ali Muhammad was in govenment Service. My grand grand father, Haji Namdar was a reader in session court in Jalandhar. Karan, Can you help me in this matter and locate our home in Cahar Bagh. You can ask our where abouts from some elder peron of this area, my father died in 2006 so I can not inform you more. Before partition 1947, in our home at Cahar Bagh a Sardar migestrate was also our tanent and after parition he became minister or some high ups in forgion ministry of India.My father visited Cahar Bagh in 1953 and later he told me that he see many families in his house who took shalter there and these families belong to different parts of Punjab now in Pakistan.
