St. Bavo's Church (Sint-Baafskerk or Sint-Bavokerk) is the chief monument of Aardenburg. It traces its roots to a smaller church built here in 959 by monks from St. Bavo's Abbey in Ghent. The church as it appears today dates from the 13th century and later.
