The Homestead Waterfront Development is an old brownfield site which was re-developed into an inclusive shopping & entertainment destination. The waterfront includes the Loews Cinema, numerous high-end restaurants & shops, big-box stores, a grocery, office complexes, and luxury apartments.
Site of the former US Steel Homestead Works. The Carnegie Steel Company labor dispute took place here known as the Homestead Strike of 1892.
