On the basis of RIHMI-WDC four World Data Centres are operating in the framework of WMO, ICSU and IOC UNESCO. RIHMI-WDC takes part in the following international programs and projects: WCP, GODAR, IGOSS, ACSYS, MEDAR/MEDATLAS.
The main objectives of the RIHMI-WDC participation in the international cooperation are: to update the State Data Fund with the data from foreign territories, to improve the quality of the State Data Fund data, to get the information on the up-to-date research in the field of climatology and oceanography in the leading foreign countries, to improve the data management quality.
The range of RIHMI-WDC products and services:
- Development of data sets and databases for any type of primary hydrometeorological and oceanographic
data and for any way of their spatial and temporal generalization;
- Statistical processing of climatic data for research and applied purposes;
- Preparation of bibliographic information and copies of papers from the base containing scientific
and technical information;
- Preparation of analytical products in the field of scientific and technical information by individual
orders; installation and development of the system of telecommunication with public computer networks
complying with international recommendations and requirements of the Internet; provision of communication
services;
- Development of the Internet Web pages and their implementation at the sites of customers;
