The greenway is currently under design. The trail will link the existing Mallard Creek Greenway to the UNC Charlotte campus and shopping areas. The greenway will provide visitors with access to University Place. An asphalt trail will be provided, however, the need for granular trails for runners is being considered as part of the schematic design. Running trails may be developed by the University.
