Huskerville (Lincoln, NE)


After WWII this was the site of a small "town" that was used to house and supports thousands of returning GI's who were attending the University of Nebraska on the GI Bill. This was a self contained town, and at one time had the states largest hospital in terms of number of beds. Now (2008) being redevleoped by Lincoln Public Schools into a new elementary school to replace Arnold Elementary.
