Clock House (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)

 warehouse, street / public clock

This former brewhouse was a 1950 addition to the Duquesne Brewery, which closed in 1972. Allegheny County's Office of Property Assessments lists the building's current owner as Jedo Enterprises, and its use code as "warehouse."

The building is best known for its 60×60 foot (18×18 m) illuminated clock, which faces north and can be read from across the river. This was the largest-face clock in the world when it was installed in about 1933 on a Coca-Cola billboard on the slope of Mount Washington. The giant timepiece was moved in 1961 to the Duquesne Brewing Company and was adorned with the company's slogan "Have a Duke." Since the closing of the brewery, the clock has borne a succession of logos including those for Stroh's beer, WTAE-TV, Equitable Gas, and (since 2009) AT&T.
