ASURGARH

A great ancient fort, little remains. Punched marked coin found (600 BC) by VJ, contact +91-9931360854. An ancient road (rajbanha in local dialect) connected it to CHAANURGARH in the east, destroyed by Kosi. Chaanur was the warrior of Kamsa, an asura. Balirajgarh in Babu Barhi block(district Madhubani) also belonged to anti-vedic asuras.
